The Tri-Scan AV service is a sophisticated e-mail anti virus system which eliminates e-mail viruses before they ever reach your gateway. Tri-Scan can be activated in a matter of minutes. Once Tri-Scan has been activated all e-mails be they inbound or outbound will be redirected to our Tri-Scan servers which will pass all e-mails through three virus engines ensuring all e-mails are free from potential internet viruses. Despite e-mails being redirected this service has virtually no impact on the speed in which your e-mails are normally transmitted on average it take less then 10 seconds for mail to be scanned making it impossible for the recipient to be aware of the extra process.

Why Does Tri-Scan use multiple virus engines?
Tests show that no single virus engine can fully protect against all possible e-mail virus. Each virus engine has its own strengths and weaknesses. As a result simultaneous use of more than one virus engine can achieve greater security than technically possible when relying only on one anti virus engine.

When a Virus is found the Tri-Scan service will simply stop and quarantine the infected mail. A notification will be sent to your system administrator along with information on where the mail originated from.
